Application Process

Thank you for you interest in the WSU general adult psychiatry residency program! Please see below for more detailed application information.

  • All residency positions are filled through the National Residency Matching Program, and applications are submitted through the Electronic Residency Application Service.
  • Applicants are offered interviews that may be scheduled on Mondays and Fridays from October through January.
  • On the day of the interview, applicants will be given tours of the different clinical sites, and meet a variety of faculty as well as residents.
  • PGY-2 positions are offered on a rolling basis, but the above rules apply.
  • IMG’s may be offered spots under a J1 visa only (not H1). U.S. health care experience, particularly in psychiatry, will be given preference.
