Enjoy Detroit!

Detroiters live for the adrenaline rush...whether it's watching the Lions come back to win a game from 21-0, catching a concert at the Masonic Temple, or stopping to see a mixologist at one of many cocktail bars, Detroit has you covered! This city is rich with culture. Some local favorites include the sport stadiums (Comerica Park, Joe Louis Arena, Ford Field, The Palace), jazz clubs (Cliff Bell's and Dirty Dog Jazz Club), casinos, and a variety of art districts. Detroit is home to Cadieux Cafe, the only place in the United States to boast feather bowling. And for all y'all country fans, we also have the three-day Downtown Hoedown in the summer!

Detroit enjoys four seasons, allowing for a variety of activities. For those who like the outdoors, there are several state parks within 40 minutes of the city including Kensington, Metrobeach Park, and Stoney Creek. Here, residents frequently go roller-blading, biking, hiking, play beach volleyball, paddle boating, or simply enjoy the warm weather. Less than two hours away, is Traverse City, which features crystal blue waters, world-famous Cherry Festival, cabin rentals, and beautiful sand dunes. Fall is the season of fresh-baked donuts and hot apple cider...a Michigan tradition! The surrounding area is filled with apple orchards and cider mills, as well as corn mazes. During the winter months, Campus Martius in downtown Detroit has ice skating, hot chocolate, and several restaurant options. Festivals including Noel Night and Winter Blast bring hundreds of visitors to the city during this time.
