"The greatest thing in life is to keep your mind young."

When Henry Ford uttered the above words, he must have been thinking about Detroit. With a myriad of cultural institutions, the city offers many opportunities to learn and indeed keep one's mind young. The beautiful Detroit Institute of Arts features a world-class collection of art and is the second largest municipally-owned museum in the United States. The nearby Charles H. Wright Museum provides an in-depth look at African American history. Hitsville U.S.A. highlights the city's rich musical history, and the Rouge River Factory reflects the city's commitment to the auto industry over the years. Detroit is a city of transformation, which is tangible as one views the unique art of the Heidelberg Project. The Detroit Train Station offers a glimpse into the past and is often the subject of local photography. Detroit fosters a sense of innovation and entrepreneurship, as seen with many local businesses including Art House, Detroit Motor City Apparel, and Tech Town.
