Thermoregulation, sleep and self-control of physiologic function

Our primary areas of interest are thermoregulation, sleep, and the self-control of physiologic functions. We are presently studying the physiology of menopausal hot flashes and their effects on sleep as well as pharmacologic and behavioral treatments for them. We perform many invasive and noninvasive procedures in humans in our laboratory at the C.S. Mott Center and in concert with scientists in the BRAIN division and at the Henry Ford Hospital Sleep Disorders Center.
