Problem Gambling Research Program

Our problem gambling research program integrates evidence-based treatment with clinical science with the aim of improving both our understanding of processes that contribute to gambling disorder, and enhancing care for individuals with this disorder. The problem gambling program engages in several areas of investigation including: research examining neurological mechanisms of gambling disorder; identifying treatment barriers and other clinical factors that predict problem gambling treatment engagement; and effectiveness trials of evidence-based psychotherapies as delivered in community treatment. Our gambling research involves collaboration with several local, national and international partners.
