Mental Health Services/Epidemiology

We are interested in various health care service delivery models involving the integration of mental health and medical services and their impact on access, utilization, healthcare costs, patient and provider satisfaction, and mental health and physical health outcomes. We conduct research and provide interdisciplinary clinical training to medical students, residents and graduate students while simultaneously addressing the health needs and health care disparities amongst underserved minority populations in Detroit. Current projects involve collaborations with WSU faculty from the Department of Internal Medicine, Divisions of General Medicine and Infectious Disease and the Department of OB/GYN. Collaborative work is carried out in primary care, HIV and Women's specialty clinics.
