Biography

Dr. Shiener directs the programs in Consultation Liaison Psychiatry/Psychosomatic medicine and Forensic Psychiatry. Dr. Shiener did his residency at Sinai Hospital of Detroit and has been a member of faculty since that time. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in General Psychiatry, with Added Qualifications in Addiction Psychiatry, Forensic Psychiatry, Geriatric Psychiatry and Psychosomatic Medicine. Dr. Shiener is the Medical Director for Integrated Care and is active in private practice.

Education Training

Dr. Shiener is a graduate of Wayne State University with an undergraduate degree in Psychology and Premedical Studies. He attended Michigan State University College of Human Medicine. He did his residency in psychiatry at Sinai Hospital of Detroit.

Clinical/Research Interests

Dr. Shiener is active as a Forensic Psychiatrist, working in both civil and criminal cases.
