"I could not be happier with the training I received through the Wayne State University CAP Fellowship. Now that I have been in private practice, I can say that I feel completely prepared to comfortably handle any clinical question, challenge, or urgency that arises. I know when and how to seek guidance using evidence based medicine. I am familiar with community resources and therapeutic practices to the point where I can make referrals for services when medication alone is not enough. I have seen every part of the socioeconomic and demographic spectrum and feel prepared to address each with cultural competence and sensitivity. The supportive environment at WSU allows for growth but also challenge so that we leave prepared for the real world of private practice. I am forever thankful and will continue to endorse the program and all it has to offer those fortunate enough to attend."
